Another brilliant move to broaden Kraig’s infrastructure

I initially thought the ‘countries’ part of expansion would probably be India or Thailand. Didn’t even think of Cambodia, let alone look into it. Well, I am glad I did. I will enjoy my well-deserved slice of humble pie and marvel at the ‘vision’ my experiment called Kraig Biocraft has conjured up for us here today. Bashers will grind their teeth in between unintelligible grumblings while the rest of us appreciate what an absolute gem of a company we have invested in.

The silk sector in Cambodia is largely informal, small-scale and difficult to typify as a stand-alone industry in its current form. The sector is characterized by small-scale orders for tourist or domestic consumption. The future of the silk sector depends on whether it is promoted as a major export product or kept as a cottage industry. For Cambodia to become a major exporter of silk, the industry would benefit from significant consolidation and mechanization. For Cambodia to differentiate itself from major silk exporters such as Thailand or China, the quality, design and color of the silks produced in Cambodia may need to be more innovative than at present.

Read the entire report. There is a close relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia. Lots of quotable parts. What CEO Thompson, et. al., did for Vietnam can, and will, be duplicated in Cambodia. Remove the dependency on China for eggs and then build the industry using Recombinant spider silk technology, form cooperatives for growing Mulberry, organise the farmers and reelers, etc. More work is required to transform Cambodia but the payoff will be far greater than what could be done in either India or Thailand, both of whom have highly developed silk economies. Too many entrenched business relationships. In Cambodia the workforce, and the governmental bodies for the silk industry, are ripe for organization and innovation.

In world silk production, Cambodia doesn’t even make it into the top eight on a list that includes North Korea! VN is #6, by the way. Transplanting the VN miracle, as I describe it, will allow Cambodia to ‘leapfrog’ over virtually the entire silk industry by adopting the Kraig-developed Recombinant spider silk technology. They listened in VN. They are listening in Cambodia.

In the 1990s, the silk-making industry slowly began to make a comeback and today it employs as many 20,000 Cambodians, 98 percent of whom are women. Silk is essential to the Cambodian garment industry, which contributes about 10 percent to the nation's GDP.

From 29 Apr 2024 PR: “Building these key working relationships is near the top of our agenda, as we expand and grow. We see this agreement as an opportunity to work together to integrate new technologies and deepen our ties in the region … Forming these working agreements with key sericulture leaders and governmental agencies in South East Asia is a key piece of our unfolding expansion”

This from the 12 Mar 2024 PR: “In addition to overseeing the spring production trials, senior management plans to lay the groundwork for further production growth, scouting and identifying down-market production partners.” Wanna bet Cambodia was on the itinerary?

From the 30 Jan 2024 PR announcing the MOU w/ VSA & LAREC, Kim said “The agreement is the result of many YEARS of work”. And what we have today is an unrivaled silk producing infrastructure that has yet to stretch its legs. We are coming.

From the 22 Dec 2023 Christmas letter: “We have active negotiations in process with public and private sector actors, which would have been unimaginable six months ago.”

Production at the Company’s existing facilities is expected to continue to increase exponentially over the next two quarters

So, bashturds, tell me again, how we are not advancing the narrative and production goals. … Maybe UA or J&J or the DOD/AF might have some use for, say, 200 kg to test and do prototypes.. We don’t need metric tonnes by friday to advance the business end of it. Not begin to increase, CONTINUE to increase. ** EXPONENTIALLY ** I mean, do you appreciate the use of the word “exponential”? Nothing wishy-washy there … Just you wait and see. It’s coming, and in a big way.
