Early May 1965 tornado outbreak

Tornado in May 1965 just missed my house. Not much cover and my parents saw it coming and fled. Then I got home and saw it 1/4th mile away. I took the best cover I could find and the noise made me think the 2nd story of the house was gone, but it was not. We lived on a lake, and my dad's 24 foot Criss Craft ,wood on the inside and outside, weighing more than a car was in the driveway 50 feet from the house on a trailer, he was refinishing it. People across the lake saw the boat going end over end and was thrown 200 feet out into the lake. Never forget that.
