I don't know why Kristi didn't put her fight with a bear a couple summers ago in the book. She said she wrestled that bear almost to the death. She said she was biting and scratching and kicked it in the nuts and it had enough and ran away.

Okay, I just checked some sites. Apparently that was a nightmare and she woke up with her teddy bear's arm in her mouth. She could use it though.
