Exactly, Most think Game Theory/The Prisoners Paradox is about Zero sum games,,,,,,,Quite the opposite eh....Liked the rules for the winning strategy called 'Tit for Tat' (counter intuitive name I thought, but)...............

Be Nice
Be forgiving
Don't be taken advantage of, retaliate (then be forgiving
Be clear, (no misunderstanding)

These guys weren't trying to figure out how to win at games, or win everything for that matter, thats greed which is zero sum, it was one of the very poorest strategies, it was about being successful over the long haul, or if not, failing (extinction).......And you got it, as usual, Cooperation is the only way we have gotten this far, only a cooperative strategy survives.....

The Social Contract was our form of cooperation in an economic society, nobody wanted it all, it was hard fought for but showed cooperation worked, once that broke down our tit for tat has turned to defect/defect, the zero sum, thats the biggest loser.....Forget the parties, its about people cooperating, which the social contract gave us......Dems were more or less the moderators of that contract....

Thats why 70mil people in this country are at the retaliatory stage after being taken advantage of, but people can't be clear. Best they have is a Trump

No one is playing by the successful rules, no one sees the problems with clarity.......

There is no being nice, no forgiveness, only retaliation by those taken advantage of, then retaliation for the retaliation. The first retaliation is supposed to give pause to the other player, A reminder to cooperate.........Our problem is Clarity but its eluding us so the ones taken advantage of have no real voice....

Now, we All have what most thought Game Theory is about, zero sum

Its The Prisoners Paradox indeed.....

Best of luck with your poker games btw, enjoy
