The "political" decision was an unfortunate turn of events here.

However, when it was discussed here that a political decision was likely in the works, you, L4BC and quite a few others ignored that advice and clamored to have people removed from the board, for presenting a false narrative, which in reality was a different, and unpopular perspective (which turned out to be correct) from those who had tunnel vision here on the board.

So there was an opportunity to de-risk here, for those who were paying attention, rather than mocking the author of that eventual outcome.

Sadly, an expensive lesson for some, who declined to hear both sides of the story and make informed decisions.

At this point, for those who kept their shares and hung on or even bought sub-penny, it seems like there will be an opportunity here to recoup those losses, in the near future.
