I was waiting on this one and "miffed" a bit as to what was holding up the attorney for the 1st of the two USA-TODAY/GANNETT suits he's handling.
The "minute entries" after conference indicated a few minor paper-work/Clerk housekeeping snafus is all I could see. So I kept checking the docket thinking - this guy Chow better get off the dime and move ASAP for default as he 100% served the MOORE MORE CLAN and the MOORES are no-shows and thus no issue "of law" is even at hand here - so get the hell moving to default.
Looks like the docket/clerk was lagging as it now updated and indeed on the smaller of the two USA-TODAY cases aka IndyIQ or whatever it's called - attorney Chow has filed the paperwork to move for default, which he damn well should. Working for a firm as large as USA-TODAY aka GANNETT - I'd expect just get going and cut n mow these clowns and move to collections and bury this corpse already. No dicking around needed - go full combat mode and destroy what's left and collect anything left (which ain't much) but at least take the damn shirts off their backs if possible and take that building or that stainless steel sign or any kiosk stuffed in some storage unit and shake the couch cushions until the MOORE MORE CRIME CLAN are in a van down by the river :)
I'd already "lil birdy landed on the path to your office - note drop to Chow on how to serve the MOORE's and it looks like he followed the "tip" as his process server nailed um stone cold via alternate and he had pictures of who he was looking for - gee, imagine that LOL !!!
PLACER COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT:
I think this is the one for $119K or whatever it is. Same attorney Chow has the Gannett $2 mil plus other action pending same time. Bigger amount - lil more time and probably a motion filed or something and that goes to default very quickly here "soon" IMO also.
Should happen quickly - likely the Clerk can enter it as "Clerk entry of default" no judge even needs to be involved, it's cut n dry, hook um and fry um :))
