That is a misleading statement because it is the concentration gradient of the active ingredient that matters, not the volume of the inert carrier, e.g., saline.

It doesn't matter if is 1ug, 2ug, 4ug or 10ug toxin, the rate of diffusion will be the same. That means the concentration at various points away from the injection site will be HIGHER for the higher dose at ALL areas.

That seems more accurate.

Diffusion describes the net movement of molecules from an area of high concentration toward areas of lower concentration. The greater the concentration gradient, the faster the rate of diffusion that will occur.
