I remember now that you spoke this testimony of a period of your life...that i had heard you speak of before here on the Bible board but as im good at doing...i had forgot. Thanks for sharing again as in itself it shows the awesome God we serve and His mercy and grace upon us. We often speak as believers that God works in mysterious ways and oh how true that is! And i would agree...you said....

I believed and still do believe that God kicked my worthless butt out of that truck

As we know...God will whisper to us...speak to us thru his word and sermons...God will do whatever it takes to get our attention all the way to kicking us out of the back of a truck to get us to pay
attention to Him because of course He always has the best in mind for us and He loves us to much to let us carry on with our wrong...self destructive and sinful ways. Such a awesome testimony here of one part of your 80 years here on planet earth. You know....i have a lot of friends...from the past...church...work related....and of course they all know what a heathen i was from the age of 15 to age 40 with the booze and drugs because im not bashful in telling everybody i can who and what i use to be to give glory to God...but...and so so often folks want to kinda sorta glorify my story in the awesomeness of God in changing someone as messed up as i was and here 28 years later still sober. And i tell them....we all have a story of who we were before we were born-again and who we are after our day of salvation....and...God wants all of us to not be bashful and tell folks our story because there are many that need to hear it. No matter how unimportant a person may think their testimony is....trust me....it is important....before we were saved and headed to hell and after we were saved and headed to heaven....that in itself is the most important story we can tell. I mean...if a person grew up and they study hard and made good grades....never used booze and drugs...live a pretty good life not getting in trouble as a kid...worked for spending money or to help get thru school....all this before they got saved at 15...20...25.....and they think their testimony is boring and they sometimes say i just dont have this awesome testimony like you do....and....i tell them...are you kidding me! Here the grace and mercy of God...Gods hand of protection upon you probably partly because of family members praying for you...that kept you out of trouble....dont you see that that is just as powerful in this lost world in God keeping you away from all the madness i lived...and they say....wow....i never thought about it that way.....we all had and have a past and we all need to use it to glorify God....and....thats all i got to say about that....wink!!!!
