Morning, Bull. Re the FISA reform bill, here's the paragraph from last night's Tom Kean, Jr.'s newsletter.
Breaking the board rule here (no link) but there's nothing on his website yet.

On Friday, the House passed the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act. I voted for this legislation because it contains meaningful reforms to the abused FISA program and requires the FBI to document all US person queries, including a requirement for the FBI to establish standardized procedures for queries made. I strongly believe that this FISA package will help maintain national security while protecting American's privacy.

After reading this, I tried to read the 80-some page bill. Ay-yi-yi. Gave up early. If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bull fertilizer. I did notice a checklist that will hold the FBI accountable for their actions. ROTF. How the hell do they think that's going to work? Seems like the FBI does whatever it wants no matter who's watching.

I also went back and reread the first article you posted with the names of the Republicans who voted to pass it. It talks about concessions that were made to appease the Republicans so they'd vote for the bill. Maybe that's what he means by "meaningful reforms." Who knows what goes on the bowels of the Swamp creatures as they create their next load? Guess the final vote is Monday.

Where are Tonto and the Lone Ranger. We need someone to ride in and save the day.
