Filing a Corporate Action Request with FINRA - a name and symbol change is by far the easiest. It should take between 2 and 4 weeks at the most for FINRA to process the request - unless there are other problems.

FINRA states there are only 2 reasons - if the company has made another request in the previous 60 days - or the name or symbol is too close to an exchange traded stock.
