I think the thing people should be aware of is MOST of these news and 'blogger' stuff is contributors from all over the world. The parent owners of sources are just a handful of people. Mega money media moguls. There are hardly no appreciable full time employees any more. And the internet made this so.

So people look at the main name and think that is who really writes this shit. People are not really hired to the parent company unless they're lawyers and financial people. It's rare a journalist actually works for one publishing company any more.

This is the premise that penny stock gets sold to the masses by promoters who push the lies using the line - "It's from Newsweek or Forbes, so it must be true". Most are not even vetted by the parent name. And if a story gets proven false, the parent is not liable for a single thing because all they did was publish the article under their figurehead for a fee. And they have the money to support their disclaimers. But the mind fuck is there in the impression of legitimacy.
