Ah very good point. However Jupiter should be visible as it's the brightest thing looking almost due west but it all needs to be done immediately after sundown. Within an hour or so after, it's all below the horizon. You may also have a tree line blocking it anyways. I'm catching it late because it was higher in the sky for weeks and I didn't even check comet listings then.
Now it's heading into the sun line and much lower in the horizon. I've got a week of rain and clouds in my area.
