personally, i think patents are a joke now...every site i go to, the posters brag about the thousand patents their company has...and yet, they are still being crushed by other companies with THEIR thousand patents and companies that often times dont have any patents at all...there may be certain proprietary processes that kblb has stumbled across where a patent might be useful...but just manipulating the dna of a worm silk by inserting spider silk genes, proteins or whatever, is going to get mimicked in a way that bypasses any patents...it seems useless to run out and patent things that have a million ways to get worked around... kblb has no real competitors other than China....and China has proven that they dont give a damn about anyone's patents...
