Major investment: AuKing’s $5M earn-in deal

AuKing Mining Ltd managing director Paul Williams joins Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss the company’s right to earn up to a 50% stake in Orion Resources Pty Ltd, which is acquiring the Cloncurry Gold Project in northwest Queensland. The agreement extends a prior deal allowing AuKing to earn a 15% stake through $1.5 million in project-related expenditure. Under the new terms, AuKing must invest $5 million in project development by June 30, 2027. Orion is finalising the acquisition of the Cloncurry Gold Project, the Lorena processing plant, and the Mt Freda/Golden Mile deposits. The company is also considering processing material from the Tick Hill mine and tailings. AuKing’s investment will support exploration, drilling, and resource estimation work, particularly at Mt Freda/Golden Mile, as well as refurbishment of the Lorena plant. Upon completing the $5 million earn-in, AuKing and Orion will form an incorporated joint venture, with AuKing holding a 50% share. If AuKing does not meet the expenditure requirement, its interest will lapse. NSX CEO highlights mining focus & direct listings as key growth drivers for 2025

National Stock Exchange of Australia CEO Max Cunningham talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference in Toronto about the exchange’s role in the Australian market, its focus on mining companies, and its expansion plans. Cunningham explained that the NSX is one of two active stock exchanges in Australia with a tier-one license, allowing it to serve all investors, including retail. He highlighted that around one-third of the exchange’s listings are mining-related, with strong growth potential in the sector. Cunningham noted that NSX is working to fill a gap in the Australian venture market and is focusing on attracting mining companies, especially from regions like Perth. He also emphasized the importance of international relationships, mentioning cross-listing agreements with Canadian exchanges such as the CSE and TSX, as well as OTC Markets. Looking ahead to 2025, Cunningham discussed the challenges of IPOs due to regulatory hurdles and capital-raising difficulties. Instead, the NSX is prioritizing direct listings, which allow companies to go public without raising capital upfront. Clinical study SKNJCT-003 shows positive trends as company advances skin cancer research in UAE

Medicus Pharma CEO Dr. Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share updates on the ongoing SKNJCT-003 clinical study, which is being conducted at nine sites across the United States and aims to randomize 60 patients. An interim analysis conducted after enrolling more than half of the targeted participants has shown encouraging results. The study reports a clinical clearance rate exceeding 60%, with the investigational therapy demonstrating strong tolerability across both tested dosage levels. Notably, no dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) or serious adverse events (SAEs) have been observed, and there have been no systemic effects or clinically significant abnormalities in laboratory results, ECGs, vital signs, or physical exams. These promising findings will be submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of a Type C meeting request in Q2 2025. In parallel, the company is advancing its clinical initiatives for non-invasive basal cell carcinoma treatment with a newly proposed study. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center trial has been submitted for approval to the UAE Department of Health. The study aims to enroll up to 36 patients at prominent medical institutions, including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Shakbout Medical City, Burjeel Medical City, and the American Hospital of Dubai. Participants will be assigned in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive either a placebo or one of two dosage levels of the experimental treatment. Europa Oil & Gas CEO on Cloughton planning application and community engagement

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) Plc (AIM:EOG) CEO Will Holland talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's submission of a planning application for the Cloughton appraisal well in Yorkshire. The application seeks approval to drill and test a gas field originally discovered in 1986. Holland explained that advancements in technology and improved gas prices now make it viable to extract gas at commercial rates. The appraisal well will determine the feasibility of full-field development. He also discussed the launch of a dedicated community engagement website, designed to provide local stakeholders with transparent information, including independent environmental and regulatory reports. Holland emphasised that the project follows strict UK regulations and aims to minimise environmental impact. Addressing concerns, he clarified that fracking is not involved, citing confirmation from Energy Minister Michael Shanks. He also noted that increased heavy goods vehicle (HGV) traffic would be minimal, at around 1% during operations.
