In this case, the board would end up trashing their own holdings just to let the conman get out early. Why would they do that?

Because that was the intent of all the insiders and institutionals and getting out at the same time isn't trashing their holdings which was to get rid of as fast as possible?

It's the common bagholder who will get burned because they think it's going to the moon and well as the stupidest thing to do as averaging down in a scam company.

What's the insiders holding now? A 1.5 billion company and falling? A market cap valuation of a scam company is a scam indicator parameter itself.
