Indeed, he is a practicing surgeon, full professor, is involved in a large number of clinical trials and probably runs marathons while playing the ukelele.

I found it mildly interesting that the employment contracts for the new full time employees were attached as exhibits to the 10-K, available here. https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/1393434/000155837024002902/ocul-20231231x10k.htm But not the two part time employees. I looked because I was curious how one might draft the 50% provision, would the employee be required to keep time sheets at each of his activities? If his surgeries in a week/month/year (or whatever the relevant testing period is) last longer than expected, I suppose that means he has to work more hours for OCUL. Seems completely impractical and if I had to guess, the product of some lawyer not living in the real world. So not surprising someone woke up and got rid of it.
