For what it’s worth, NVDIA said at OFC yesterday that the NLV72 is using passive copper only. Also cost is a major pain point. 5 cents per Gig or less. Anything over 7 cents and they won’t entertain it.

They have also developed their own serdes for 200G per lane for passive copper.
