When they short sell and the price rises, don't they loose their shares? I always thought that was the other side of the playing field.
I am new to trading and probably wrong, but it makes sense that this would be where all the new shares are coming from...people shorting their own shares. I see that my Charles Schwab account allows you to "sell short"
