This was FY24 money which started 1 October 2023, so we are 6 months into this.

Hi, Daniel. We were able to keep the $10M for AlSc master alloy in the FY23 DoD Appropriations bill, thanks to Senator Fischer’s advocacy, and the bill was just signed into law this weekend (more than 5 months late). We have been working with DoD for some time now on this effort and are taking the next steps to move things forward. These initiatives are always a bit of a process when federal funds are involved, but DoD’s support would help us significantly accelerate our plans to establish AlSc master alloy production in the U.S. that will eventually be fed by Made in USA scandium. Once completed, this would be the first vertically integrated mine-to-master-alloy supply chain in the U.S. for this critical and strategic material, which will have major implications for both defense and essential civilian technologies.
