I think in the sense that it’s been evolving all along. So it’s the “old DS” in the December photo. The way I understood it was this was the same DS that had the successful pilot run in spring of 2022 only to fail due to robustness issue in July/August 2022. Who knows. Could be one of the new strains that wasn’t homozygous just yet.

It’s my understanding that the Indian expert improved protocols that facilitated higher yields which made it more producible in spite of the new hybrid not being ready for prime time just yet.

Now we’ve got Bam1 DS colony growing and waiting to supplant the “old DS “

And when the 4 strain hybrid is done in early 25, I expect it to supplant Bam1 DS with son of bambam DS
