No one who spent one day in the business college would mistake the dilution of shares with a paint manufacturer as anything other than the walls crashing in.

Imagine Spiber’s conversation with their financiers…

Investors…“we gave you 400 million to make spider silk. You failed! We need our money back. Exactly WTF CAN you make?”

Spiber…“Ummmm maybe we could put some soup in some paint and make it stronger but we need more money!!”

Investors…“You can kiss our asses. Go dilute our shares if you have to and find some paint company who will try it because we aren’t giving you one more dime!!!!“
