I think there is something brewing between Linde and Plug Power.
In this podcast we hear Andy Marsh praising Linde again, just like he did during the Q4 2023 Earnings Call and Paul Middleton mentioned a big gas company during the J.P. Morgan 2024 Industrials Conference.
Linde has an electrolyzer problem and Plug Power has the solution.

Large-scale green hydrogen projects don’t make sense – Linde

Electrolyser technology has not developed enough for large-scale green hydrogen projects to stack up as viable investments and move ahead.
That was the warning this week from industrial gases major Linde and its CEO Sanjiv Lamba, speaking on an investor-relations earnings call.
Electrolysers need to improve in terms of reliability and the ability to operate around the clock, said Lamba.

Linde vehicles to be powered by Plug Power technology

Industrial gas giant Linde will demonstrate Plug Power’s ProGen fuel cell engine in Class 6 and Class 8 vehicles, which will be used for the delivery of products.
The companies today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to solidify their commitments.
Plug Power’s ProGen fuel cell engines are well suited to heavy-duty vehicles and, in long-haul transportation, provide a unique advantage over a battery electric vehicle.
