No Powell is a lawyer (Georgetown) and poli sci undergrad (Princeton), and is playing politics for current Administration support. He may even do a cut in June, but I sense it could come back to bit the economy if prices stay sticky (up) or slightly higher. There is still many billions of $$$ (infrastructure; climate/EV; Chip Act for Foundries) being pumped into the system......and I am seeing gasoline/oil prices rising 10% in the past month.
