I don't think it had anything to do with calling shares or with kalobios. He was just a crook....so yes he made enemies.

Martin Shkreli, also known as the “Pharma Bro,” is in prison due to his involvement in securities fraud. Here are the key details:

Securities Fraud Charges:
In 2018, Shkreli was found guilty of two counts of securities fraud and one count of securities fraud conspiracy.
His actions defrauded investors in two hedge funds and a former drug company called Retrophin.
Shkreli manipulated information to defraud investors, ultimately leading to significant financial losses.
Price Hike Controversy:
While Shkreli gained infamy for raising the price of a life-saving HIV drug from $13.50 per pill to an exorbitant $750 per pill, his arrest was not directly related to this incident.
Instead, his charges stemmed from fraudulent activities during his time with Retrophin and other financial schemes.
Sentencing and Consequences:
In 2018, Shkreli was sentenced to seven years in prison.
As part of his punishment, he is permanently barred from serving in any capacity in the pharmaceutical industry and from running a public company.
