All companies would want to be in a better position after taking over a company. The only issue is. Actions have to be justified as acting in the best fiduciary responsibility of the shareholders. If this reverse merger is real. The company is in great shape with no reason for a reverse split. They will have a hard time justifying a reverse split when they want to issue two billion new shares. Doesn't pass the smell test. They may be told you are stuck with the original shareholders and their present holdings. This is the risk they run by reverse merging into a shell company. Otherwise. playing reverse merges into a shell company would always be a horrible play and the process would be eliminated from the options that new companies can take. No one would look to buy into a shell as a trader or a company looking to go public.
