I slapped the 7's off the ask with a 570K slap Schwab left 32 shares open and after 2 mil sold I still have 32 open. Some peeps don't realize how a short sell is a traded "When you go short, you borrow an asset and sell it, so you would enter at the BID price. To close it, you'd buy the asset back and return it to the lender, so you'd exit at the ASK price. "
Many or most of those bid fills are short sells!!!
