Everyone seems to focus on EVs when they talk about large batteries, but there's another big market out there - residential solar panels and the batteries they use.

We just completed a 2-year project building our dream home in Italy last month, and with it came a substantial investment in a solar panel array up on the roof and a 10W lithium battery and inverter that now sits in my garage.

I'd love to see a fast-charging niobium/lithium combo system that charges faster and lasts longer.

My solar guy says business is booming, although unfortunately China-sourced components dominate the market. Their niobium supply has to run eventually, right?
