This would be the most JETS thing EVER if A-A-Ron ran for VP!! The domain “kennedyrodgers.com” was recently registered. A-A-Ron is on the very short list to run as VP for Kennedy Jr.
If A-A-Ron decides to run, it'll mean the Jets will have paid him $36,888,888 for 4 snaps. 5 snaps if you count his Achilles. That joke never gets old. Lol.
If he retires *before* that 2nd option bonus kicks in, Jets will "only" take a $28M dead cap hit. If he retires *after*, Jets could potentially be looking at a $66.2M dead cap hit. But I doubt it. There will be lawyers involved. Can't play football and have the VP Presidential debates between Weeks 5 and 6 of the NFL season A-A-Ron!
Some have speculated this could put Zach Wilson 3rd in line for the Presidency. Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, etc. would surely be up for Cabinet positions. The Jets would receive no draft compensation.
