I think "they" are not interested in common stock appreciation at all. "They" want to screw the legacy commons, and the ugliest way to do that is an SPS-to-common conversion. Why else go through the legal charade of the last 15 years? It was certainly not to benefit the legacy shareholders. Look how Lamberth finds new arguments every month why he can't sign the judgment "yet".
