I'm a big advocate of Fani and I hope she and her team nail TFG to the wall, but the issue she faces now is one of credibility not her personal life. For all kinds of reasons it's not a good idea to have a relationship with a co-worker. In this instance I think Wade would be considered a subordinate which is worse.

When the relationship came to light, Fani was forced to make statements about when it began and what the financial arrangements between them was. If it can be proven that she lied about those details to make things appear less "seemly" then she puts the State's case in jeopardy with an overturn on appear more likely.

And the Fani Willis thing is just stupid. So now people can't date people they work with?

An example of "why you don't sleep with a subordinate." I belong to a gym that includes swimming pools. The manager of the aquatics department hired an assistant. One of the assistant's job responsibilities is to fill in a lifeguard slot when necessary. The assistant who was hired not only wasn't a certified lifeguard, but she didn't even know how to swim. She was given 6 months to attain her Red Cross lifeguard certification. An acquaintance of mine was engaged to provide the assistant manager with swim lessons. There were a couple of lessons and then assistant manager stopped showing up.

Just before the 6 month probationary period ended, the assistant manager started sitting in the lifeguard chair -- watching over children. The swim teacher went to the facility general manager and suggested he inquire about how the AM got certified to be a lifeguard when she didn't even know how to swim.

Turns out the assistant manager and her boss had a "personal relationship". It's not clear whether it started before the hire or after, but in order to prevent her underling from being terminated, the manager signed paperwork certifying that the AM passed the lifeguard test. Both were allowed to "resign."

We sometimes do things to help friends and lovers which may approach or even cross the line.

That is why the Fani relationship is being called into question. I hope she escapes unscathed.
