During a town hall on Tuesday night, former President Donald Trump disclosed that he has at least six individuals under consideration for his vice presidential shortlist, with pro-life Florida Governor Ron DeSantis among them.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham mentioned that the audience had been polled on their preferences for vice president, listing some of the choices: businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, DeSantis, Representative Byron Donalds of Florida, former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

Inquiring whether all of them were part of his shortlist, Trump affirmed, “They are.” He later commented, “Honestly, all of those people are good. They’re all good, they’re all solid.”

Each of the potential vice presidential candidates are pro-life, excluding Gabbard, who supports abortion.

DeSantis signe a 6-week heartbeat law that would protect unborn babies with beating heats from abortion, Ramaswamy ran as a pro-life candidate during the Republican presidential race, Scott has a 100% pro-life voting record as a U.S. senator ad does Donalds in the House, and Noem has signed pro-life measures into law protecting babies from abortions.

Trump, maintaining his position as the leading contender in the GOP, expressed his desire for a vice presidential candidate who can offer assistance from a voter’s perspective. He emphasized the importance of selecting someone with “common sense” regarding crucial issues like border policies, electric vehicles, and high interest rates.

Continuing his remarks, Trump singled out Scott, who was present among the audience at the town hall event, praising him for his backing.

“I have to say — this is in a very positive way — Tim Scott, he has been much better for me than he was for himself,” the former president continued. “I watched his campaign and he doesn’t like talking about himself, but boy, does he talk about Trump.”

In the GOP primary on Saturday, Trump is pitted against his sole remaining challenger, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. According to polling averages from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, Trump holds a commanding lead over Haley, with 63.8 percent compared to her 33.1 percent.
