Tdtcal, the previous FedEx hydrogen fuel cell truck test was for a single truck in the US. These tests are in Europe, very different truck, purposely built for a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain, and very different environment in Europe compared to the US, generally shorter distances traveled in Europe. Also, a lot more experience has been gained on reliability of fuel cells over these years, given the tens of thousands of fuel cell units in operation daily in forklifts and growing, presumably a much harsher environment compared to trucks and cars, and millions of refueling operations performed with Plug Power hydrogen refueling stations over the years. All factors contributing to the fact that less testing would be required.
