I believe the tech was sound but the worms failed…they kept trying to fix the issues with science believing that there was something wrong with the tech…

But the shortcomings were in the sericulture process and the breeding…the experts in those areas have solved the problem…

Kblb bred their worms with commercial worms…but science cannot replace or compensate for 40 years of experience and knowledge that the experts in the field have…

I always said that scientists could create the right worm and have it function well in a controlled environment…but take that worm out of the controlled environment and have it do well under real world conditions and that would be a different story….

And it was over and over…we were at a point where scientists, who only had a familiarity with sericulture, was not the answer…

Sericulture experts with many years of experience is what was needed…and 10 or 11 years ago, they may not have been able to help…but in those passing years, transgenic silkworms came into prominence with thousands of places around the world getting involved…that increased the base of knowledge…for everyone, including sericulture experts…

That is sometimes the problem with cutting edge tech when you need the assistance of others who do not yet understand or have the necessary experience with that tech…

It took time for things to come together…

And the time has come…
