Since you are still hung up on the distance, I will help you out a little. A loaded semi will get 4MPG. At a distance of 17 miles that's a total of 8.5 gallons of fuel. If fuel is an average of $5 per gallon thats $42.50 per round trip? You act like that is a big scary number. Or is it the driver and the whole hour it takes him to make the round trip?

The distance is a non issue.

Get out of the city. Go learn a trade. Spend some time on large construction projects. You will be a better person after that.
