OKYO Pharma achieves key stability milestone for Urcosimod in clinical development

The company recently completed Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) stability assay testing of single-use ampoules containing urcosimod in an ophthalmic solution. The results were highly promising—ampoules stored under refrigerated conditions maintained stability for over two and a half years, while initial three-month data from samples stored at room temperature showed potency levels at or above 100%. Time Finance PLC (AIM:TIME) CEO Ed Rimmer takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s performance in the third quarter, highlighting a record gross lending book and improved arrears management. Solvonis Therapeutics engages PharmaVentures to support key AUD assets

Solvonis Therapeutics PLC (LSE:SVNS) CEO Anthony Tennyson talked with Proactive about the company's strategic move to commercialise two clinical-stage assets targeting alcohol use disorder (AUD). Tennyson explained that Solvonis has engaged PharmaVentures to support valuation and potential out-licensing for two lead programs—AWKN-001 and AWKN-002. PharmaVentures was chosen based on its three-decade track record in biopharma M&A advisory, with over 1,000 deals completed. Tennyson noted, “We’ve selected them for three reasons: their expertise, their experience, and their reach.” The two assets originated from Solvonis's planned acquisition of Awakn Life Sciences, a transaction expected to be completed in the second quarter. AWKN-001, now in Phase 3 trials, targets severe AUD in the UK and EU. PharmaVentures estimates the asset could yield around £60 million in upfront and milestone payments, plus significant double-digit royalties.
