ATOME signs milestone EPC deal with Casale for Villeta project

ATOME PLC (AIM:ATOM) CEO Olivier Mussat talked with Proactive about a landmark milestone for the company’s Villeta green fertiliser project in Paraguay. The company has signed its first definitive engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with Swiss firm Casale S.A. Mussat explained that this agreement marks the world’s first large-scale green hydrogen fertiliser project to reach the EPC stage, underlining its global relevance. “It’s significant for us as a company because we’ve announced that we had been working on the front-end engineering and design for more than two years now,” Mussat said, noting the long-term collaboration with Casale. He highlighted Casale’s industry-leading expertise, describing the firm as the oldest ammonia licensor globally, with the ability to deliver complex, full-chain fertiliser projects. According to Mussat, the partnership serves as a strategic blueprint for Casale’s future growth. Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Zinnwald Lithium wins Saxony government endorsement for lithium project after robust PFS

Zinnwald Lithium PLC (LSE:ZNWD, OTC:ZNWLF) chief executive Anton du Plessis talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently published pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Zinnwald Lithium Project, located in Saxony, Germany. The project is designed to supply battery-grade lithium hydroxide to the European market and has now received public backing from the Saxony government. Du Plessis outlined that the PFS demonstrates a scalable, long-life mining operation, starting with 18,000 tonnes per annum of lithium hydroxide and potentially scaling to 35,000 tonnes in a second phase. He stated, “We published our PFS on Monday that showed an economic project of significant scale… a globally significant project in terms of scale.” The economics were highlighted as robust, with a post-tax NPV of €2.20 billion and an internal rate of return of approximately 20%. The location of the project — 35km south of Dresden — positions it strategically at the heart of Germany and the EU, aligning with Europe’s push for regional supply chains of critical raw materials. Du Plessis also emphasised the importance of the local endorsement, noting, “To have the public endorsement, as we had, is extremely important to us.” The next step for the company is to optimise the project in preparation for a Definitive Feasibility Study, expected in 2026. Kodal Minerals nears completion at Bougouni Lithium project, prepares for exports

Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM:KOD) CEO Bernard Aylward takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's latest update on its Bougouni lithium project in Mali, where construction is nearly complete and preparations for export are underway. Aylward shared that the optimisation and ramp-up phase of the processing plant has been going well, with over 11,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate already stockpiled and ready for export. "We've been making some adjustments as we go through this process and some improvements to the feed into the crusher... achieving a good product," he said. He noted that the company expects to reach nameplate capacity within the next couple of months, pending a final review and approval by the construction team. Kodal is also progressing steadily on the mining front, with a good run-of-mine (ROM) stockpile in place. The interview highlighted that the mining license transfer process is still ongoing, though Kodal has completed all compliance steps and is now awaiting sign-off from the Committee of Ministers and the President of Mali.
