Oscar Peterson on the Dick Cavett show '79..... hey Murray. Thought you and other Jazz Piano lovers might find this interesting...anyway, I did. I saw this recently on Rick Beato's youtube channel, and he thinks its 'the greatest music interview ever', applauding the incredibly insightful questions by non-musician Dick Cavett, which help Oscar Peterson give wonderfully articulate but also graspable explanations to the non-professional audience. A few minutes of Oscar playing a piece of his choice, followed by a conversation.. but the piece de resistance imho starts at 12:35 when they both sit down at the piano, and Oscar Peterson answers Cavett's questions both orally and through examples on the piano. That last part is simply Wonderful... a must watch!!!!!!!! (ok, its possible I got into this much more than others might for whatever reason).
