"Nearly a decade ago states were presented with a golden opportunity – a way to provide health care coverage to nearly all lower-income citizens while shouldering only 10% of the cost. When Medicaid expansion was first implemented in 2014, more than half the states took advantage of this opportunity, and over the past decade nearly all states have expanded their Medicaid programs. Tennessee remains one of only 10 states that haven't chosen to benefit from expanded coverage."
