NSX CEO highlights mining focus & direct listings as key growth drivers for 2025

National Stock Exchange of Australia CEO Max Cunningham talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference in Toronto about the exchange’s role in the Australian market, its focus on mining companies, and its expansion plans. Cunningham explained that the NSX is one of two active stock exchanges in Australia with a tier-one license, allowing it to serve all investors, including retail. Astral Resoures’ pre-feasibility study on track for June

Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) managing director Marc Ducler talked with Proactive about the latest gold recovery results from the Mandilla Gold Project in Western Australia. He shared insights into recent metallurgical test work at the Theia prospect, where 87% gravity recovery and 98% overall recovery were achieved within 24 hours. Ducler highlighted that these strong results support the upcoming mineral resource estimate and pre-feasibility study. The company is optimising the resource estimate using a A$3,500 gold price and current mining and processing cost assumptions. The updated resource model is expected within two weeks, with the pre-feasibility study targeted for release in the June quarter. Ducler also provided an update on Astral’s takeover of Maximus Resources, which has reached a 72% acceptance level. The acquisition adds 330,000oz to Astral’s resource base and provides future infrastructure opportunities. Additionally, the company has active drilling programs, including diamond drilling at Camp Man, an air core program at Feysville, and a 46-hole RC drilling campaign set to begin shortly. Titan Minerals: new high-grade gold drill results

Titan Minerals Ltd CEO Melanie Leighton talked with Proactive about the latest drilling results at the Dynasty Gold Project in southern Ecuador. The company has reported strong extensional drill results, indicating significant growth potential, with mineralisation extending up to 150 metres below the current resource. One standout result includes 17.5 metres at 2.5 g/t gold and 8.6 g/t silver, with a high-grade section of 5 metres at 5.5 g/t gold and 10.7 g/t silver. Leighton highlighted that these results validate Titan’s strategy, confirming that the Dynasty gold system has substantial expansion potential. "Hole CVDD24-122 has been an incredibly successful hole for us," she said. "It has delivered multiple significant intersections from shallow depths while also highlighting the presence of wide, high-grade mineralisation at depth." Titan’s drilling campaign continues at Cerro Verde and other key targets, with assay results pending from several drill holes. Despite temporary weather-related delays, the company remains on track for a Mineral Resource estimate update in mid-2025. Immunic presents at ACTRIMS forum as it awaits key CALLIPER MS trial data

Immunic Therapeutics chief medical officer Dr Andreas Muehler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's strong presence at the 10th annual ACTRIMS Forum, where it presented two key posters on multiple sclerosis (MS). He highlighted that Immunic’s investigational drug, vidofludimus calcium, has potential neuroprotective properties that may benefit both relapsing and progressive MS patients. One of the posters examined baseline characteristics of past progressive MS trials and contrasted them with Immunic’s CALLIPER trial, designed for non-relapsing patients with minimal inflammatory activity. The second poster explored preclinical data on the drug’s mechanism of action, emphasizing its potential to target activated microglia and support neuron survival. Muehler noted significant engagement from the MS community at ACTRIMS, with many keenly anticipating the CALLIPER trial’s readout in April. “It’s really one of the very few late-stage drugs with a potential neuroprotective effect,” he said, adding that the data could provide new hope for progressive MS patients who currently have limited treatment options.
