For anyone new to this Board, please know that this stock is legit.
I know you'd never know it by the bashers and immature posters.

VoIP-Pal purchased the technology and developed it into a suite of patents that are disruptive and in my opinion now ESSENTIAL to mobile phone usage. The patents were approved by the USPTO quite a while ago, but were challenged by many companies accused of infringing on them in the PTAB. They won their first battle in the PTAB in Nov 2017 and thought that would be the end of it. Thus, you see the big jump in stock price up to around 0.45. Unfortunately, there were many more of those IPR battles to follow. VP has won 36/36 of those challenges. The PTAB is known as the place where patents go to die, and VP has a perfect record there.

Some on this Board will tell you that means nothing, but common sense would tell you otherwise.

So, the rest of the journey over the past 7 years or so has been about holding the accused infringers accountable in the court system.
VP now has several companies (Amazon, Verizon, and T-Mobile) on the ropes in West TX District court with a judge that has a reputation for moving patent cases thru quickly and encouraging settlements. Although they have not moved as quickly as we'd like, as far as I am aware of, we have been winning all the smaller battles such as Claim Construction and Re-examinations and the odds of winning in court seem to be getting better and better. IMHO this stock is a good risk, but it is vulnerable to the craziness of the court system.

Many of us who are longtime shareholders are optimistic that a settlement or a buyout from another party could happen before the first trial date that is set, which is August 19th for Verizon. We don't hold our breath, however, as this has been a LONNNGGGG journey and we've had our share of disappointments. But like I said, it looks like the tide has turned and we may actually see this journey come to an end soon. (my opinion of course)
