You are never going to win an argument against someone who refuses to acknowledge facts and answers by calling you names.

Right now, I’m engaged in a reasonable debate with TRUISM over the meaning of Walter Wee’s rating of 6/10 for Kings’ relationship to KBLB. I understand his point. KBLB should not be celebrating this rating as evidence of a great relationship between the two companies. I hope he understands mine: it could have been a lot worse.

This is a reasonable debate. Unfortunately, there exists a significant pool of posters who don’t debate the facts and instead engage in name-calling. (I have resorted to that on a few occasions — not claiming sainthood here, but working to do better.)

My recommendation is simply to ignore people who won’t acknowledge facts and who rebut factual claims with incendiary comments about character. People who come to the board looking for information will quickly determine that these people should not be taken seriously.
