twelvebees maybe you think I am making a mountain out of a mole hill with the drain for the safety shower and although I agree one is not really needed it sure as heck beats ankle high water accumulation with the possiblity of electracution
as a cost saver.
In my line of work I only worked in labs that had safety showers with a drain provided. I guess Dupont did do something right before I got there. Their labs were state of the art and although some are going on over a half century
or more they still blow the doors off of these so called
modern (cheaply built) labs. More and more I see managers and supervisors who do not know their hand from their elbow. That is where I work now.
At Dupont they knew what end was up. That much I will say about that company. When they did things they did it the right way. As for Dupont now? I am not so sure because I am outta the loop.
Where I work now they have no clue what so ever and would not know a nice lab if they stepped in it.
