There have been ships that sank with……..

valuable cargos all over the world, but who owns the cargos? That depends on where it sank. It’s a matter of law. But less than 1% of all wrecks sank without valuable cargos.

The US recognizes Sovereign Immunity, so the idea that SFRX can legally loot the Concepcion or other Spanish galleons that wrecked in US waters is pure fantasy.

You may see this all as a gamble, but when it comes to shipwreck salvage the risks can be minimized if you understand salvage law. Kyle, Tim, and The Baer have apparently chosen to ignore multiple warnings from the state about violating the Sunken Military Craft Act, and both have appeared in multiple videos floating the idea that SFRX will do just that by bringing up treasure from the 1715 Fleet.

Juno is a different story. It’s the first wreck SFRX has ever had title to. Spain never made a claim to the wreck back in the late 80’s when the Admiralty claim was made. SFRX’s legal battle for title to the Juno wreck began 8 or 9 years ago. That was back when they claimed Judd had them working in the wrong area and was trying to hide to treasure from them.

Regardless, it all belongs to SFRX. It’s grandfathered in and the Judge said no other claims of ownership can be made on the wreck.

So get those cameras rolling (big production) and let’s see what the tech sees, which obviously should be treasure since they waited all this time for the permit to be issued and the word is they’ve summoned the camera crew to Juno.

And if no treasure is there doesn’t that actually mean the tech does NOT work?

And where’s the newer version that was supposedly tested at Melbourne?

Current Status

The SeaSearcher 2’s metal discriminator integration testing is complete and our teams continue to expand our knowledge about the Melbourne Beach site while also preparing to return to Juno Beach.
