Why to they call roughly 12 states 'swing states', 'battleground states'.

I named 3, figured even you would figure out how many more would qualify based upon population.

What you're really afraid of is that the GOP is not good at winning popular majorities in presidential elections because their policies do not appeal to most voters. The abortion fight is a perfect example.
