It's a mixed system, you ill-informed simpleton. How else do you explain the DIRECT, popular vote, election of U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, governors, mayors, aldermen and some judges.

The electoral college is an anachronism that gives small states disproportionate power. Make the presidency direct election and watch the GOP campaign in NY, IL CA.
