The government/FHFA is pushed in a corner. FHFA has lost the lawsuit 8-0 but has no money to pay for the damages.
If FHFA tries to get Fannie and Freddie to pay for the damages, then they are in for more lawsuits/injunctions.
So, I think something is going to happen this month to avoid paying the damages.
