The truth IS an absolute defense to defamation if it’s actually the truth. The Guppy flat out said Sharp committed perjury and is under investigation by a grand jury in Nevada. I think that will turn out to have been a false statement. So no protection.

As an aside, I do not actually think Sharp would pursue it (just as the State of Nevada is not pursuing a criminal case against Sharp). I’m just making a point.
