Absolutely ridiculous arguments. Treasury was charged with stabilizing the economy and protecting the taxpayers while doing it. Everything you state should and I hope will occur and Treasury will say “Mission accomplished!!” This will be a political victory for Bidenomics. You act as though the only purpose for Treasury was to steal the property of others and make as large of a return as possible. Last I checked our Gov is supposed to run the gov and protect the union. Making a profit has never been high on the list. Just check the National Debt if you aren’t sure. This is only going to end for political reasons. And right now I believe the politics is such that doing what you describe is worth the most political capitol to the Biden administration that it ever has since 2008. They probably wont take advantage but that there is your reason for why Treasury would choose to end the nonsense in the next year. You act as though a couple of hundred billion dollars is a a big deal any more. I assure you after the last few spending bills. It is not. At least not to politicians.
