And you were exactly right in describing quantity allocation for non controlled drugs. Pharmacists don't like this because it causes 3 times as much work to dispense 3 times, and 2 additional checkout transactions for the staff to handle, in addition to having to hear the patient complain about having to keep making trips to the pharmacy, lol.
