Googling “basic contract law” may not define every contract scenario.

'Basic contract law' does apply to every contract ever written. Without the 4 basic requirements you don't have a valid enforceable contract. I'd like to see KBLB show up at King's doorstep with a truck load of spydasilk demanding to get paid their $250,000 after King's has already decided to move on. I'm sure their argument in court will be, "But want2retire says we have a valid contract".

But you're right, I shouldn't have told somebody to Google something when I know they don't have the intelligence or common sense to cipher the garbage out.

Have you confirmed your opinion with the company or are you basing this off of what Google says?

Do you have Kim's phone number? I'd love to have a chat with him. Also, I didn't need Google, I've written and enforced many real estate contracts and have had the training to do so. What's your expertise?

Might be worth talking to the company directly vs pretending you have knowledge you clearly don’t.
